The SV505C camera adopts the IMX464 12-bit ADC sensor, featuring a 1/1.8" frame, 2.9μm pixel size, 12ke full well charge, and BIN 11 or BIN 22 with ROI function. Remarkably, this camera possesses a powerful infrared light capture capability.

The IMX464 sensor at the heart of the SV505C boasts a very high quantum efficiency (QE) of 80%, with an impressively low readout noise of 2.9e~0.7e. The sensor's pixel size is 2.9μm, resolution is 2712×1538 pixels, and diagonal is 9mm. Compared to the IMX462, the IMX464 offers higher sensitivity, lower readout noise, a larger target surface, and better performance in planetary and lunar photography.

Capable of up to 93fps at full resolution, the SV505C can capture more frames simultaneously, a valuable asset when dealing with unfavorable weather conditions. The camera's operation temperature range is 14°F to 122°F, and storage temperature range is -4°F to 140°F.

The SV505C features an AR-coated lens glass, making it highly sensitive to visible and near-infrared light. Various imaging can be achieved by using different filters. Additionally, the camera has a built-in 128MB DDRIII image buffer, which caches images and transfers them to the computer when the USB interface is not busy or interrupted, preventing frame loss or corruption.

The SV505C is well-suited for astrophotography applications, including planetary photography, meteor capture, and time-lapse photography. It can be mounted directly on a tripod and paired with CS-mount lenses, making it an ideal choice for small focal ratio telescopes used in planetary photography. The camera's ability to eliminate atmospheric chromatic aberration and capture infrared details on planet and moon surfaces can significantly improve imaging results.

In terms of specifications, the SV505C is equipped with a 1/4" threaded interface, supports the use of Barlow lenses, and is compatible with the SV199 ADC and SV183 IR pass filter. It also supports the UV/IR cut filter for pure color planetary photography.

The SV505C is suitable for advanced planetary photography enthusiasts, offering high sensitivity, low readout noise, and exceptional performance in both visible and near-infrared light capture. Its versatility and advanced features make it a compelling choice for astrophotography and planetary imaging enthusiasts.
